Ingredients

400 g
Prawn (Use 400 g raw king prawns.)
4 tsp
Lemon Juice (plus a squeeze)
40 g
Ginger (half peeled and grated, half finely sliced into matchsticks)

Vegetable Oil

Curry Leaves (fresh)

Onion (Use finely sliced.)

Black Pepper (ground)

Coconut (Use fresh coconut, grated.)
0.25 Cup
Coriander (Use small bunch coriander, leaves only)

Turmeric

Chili Powder

Green Chilis (halved and deseeded)

Method

  1. Soaked the prawns in cold water and pat dry. Toss them with the turmeric, chilli powder, lemon juice, and grated ginger and set aside.
  2. Saute in heated oil. Then, add curry leaves, chilli, sliced ginger and onion. Cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes, then add the black pepper.
  3. Toss the prawns with the marinade and stir-fry until cooked, about 2 minutes. Season and add a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve sprinkled with coconut and coriander leaves.
